|500 g (=1.1 lb)||chicken breast|
|1 bunch||green (spring) onions|
|1/2||lemon (just juice)|
|50 g (=1/2 cup)||ground nuts (walnuts are especially popular in Russia. But you can use peanuts.)|
|2 tbsp||oil (for best flavour choose a nut oil that fits to the nuts used in the marinade)|
|salt and pepper|
- Finely chop green onions, grind nuts and mix well. Add oil and garlic crashed in a garlic press. Mix well again.
- Cut chicken into cubes (5-6 cm (=2 inches)). Season to taste with salt and pepper. Rub marinade into chicken cubes.
- Refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
- Thread chicken cubes onto skewers and grill. Serve with hot tomato sauce.
