| 500 g (=1.1 lb) | chicken breast |
| 1 bunch | green (spring) onions |
| 2 | garlic cloves |
| 1/2 | lemon (just juice) |
| 50 g (=1/2 cup) | ground nuts (walnuts are especially popular in Russia. But you can use peanuts.) |
| 2 tbsp | oil (for best flavour choose a nut oil that fits to the nuts used in the marinade) |
| salt and pepper |
Directions
- Finely chop green onions, grind nuts and mix well. Add oil and garlic crashed in a garlic press. Mix well again.
- Cut chicken into cubes (5-6 cm (=2 inches)). Season to taste with salt and pepper. Rub marinade into chicken cubes.
- Refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
- Thread chicken cubes onto skewers and grill. Serve with hot tomato sauce.
