Als Antwort auf Yulia. Dear Yulia, thank you for your comment. In Russian, the church is sometimes called "Ризположения" (Rispoloschenija) and sometimes "Ризоположения" (Risopoloschenija). We chose the first option as this is the name used by the Moscow Kremlin (see the official website). As for the Ivan the Great Bell Tower, yes, it's true that the name Ivan comes from the Church of Saint Ioann Lestvichnik (церковь Иоанна Лествичника) which was built in 1329 and dismantled in 1505. Zerkow Rispoloschenija is written incorrectly. Should be: Zerkow Risopoloschenija.
Glockenturm Iwan der Große is named like that not only because it was the highest thing at that time, but also because there is a church of Johannes Klimakos (in Russian – Ivan Lestvichnik).

wenn hier schon so pedantisch der freundliche Kommentar von Herrn Unger korrigiert wird, dann weise ich auch gerne auf den Fehler des Autors im Wort „nähsten“ hin, dass heißt dann nämlich richtig „nächsten“. Beste Grüße!
