Moscow (russ.: Москва), the capital of the Russian Federation, is situated in the European part of Russia on the Moskva-River. In 2006 Moscow had a population of 10.4 Mio people.
On the occasion of Moscow’s 850-anniversary in 1997 extensive renovation was undertaken especially in the centre of the Russian capital. Moscow is one of the world’s most beautiful (and unfortunately one of the world’s most expensive) cities and is definitely worth seeing.
