Domodedovo International Airport (DME) (russ.: Домодедово) is situated 45 km south from the city centre and can easily be reached by public transport.
Domodedovo is the biggest airport in Russia.
Domodedovo Airport was nominated for the Annual World Travel Awards 2007 in the category "Europe's Leading Airport". (Zurich Airport, Switzerland won the Award.)
In 2006 Domodedovo was one of the top three most dynamically developing European airports, according to the report of ACI EUROPE (Airports Council International – European Division). The council analyzed the activity of 102 European airports of Group 2, which handle a passenger traffic varying between 10 and 25 million passengers a year. Domodedovo in Moscow ranks second with its growth indicator being 11.8%. The first place is held by Dublin airport. Domodedovo is followed by the Milan-Malpensa.
How to get to the airport
There are different ways to get to Domodedovo International Airport:
Speed Train "Aeroexpress"
1) Domodedovo Airport – Paveletsky railway station
The train brings passengers from the airport straight to the metro station Paveletskaya without any stops. It operates between 6:00 am and 00:40 am.
Journey time: 40-50 minutes
Fares: 150 rubles for adults and 37,50 rubles for kids (5-10 years old)
2) Domodedovo Airport – Belorussky railway station (russ.: Белорусский вокзал)
The train operates 6 times a day (3 times from and 3 times to the airport) with two stops. The train links the airport to three stations of the Moscow metro and five railway stations:
- Metro station Belorusskaya (russ.: Белорусская) at Belorussky railway station.
- "Kalanchovskaya" stop is located in the metro station Komsomoslkaya (russ.: Комсомольская) near railway stations Kazansky, Leningradsky and Yaroslavsky.
- Metro station Kurskaya (russ.: Курская) at Kursky railway station.
Journey time: 60-70 minutes
Fares: 150 rubles for adults and 37,50 for kids (5-10 years old)

Commuter train

The train operates between 4:51 am and midnight with many stops.
Journey time: about 1 hour 15 minutes
Fares: 72 rubles for adults and 18 rubles for kids (5-10 years old)
Express buses
Domodedovo Airport - metro station Domodedovskaya
The buses operate from 6 am to midnight every 15 minutes.
Journey time: 35 minutes
Fares: 60 rubles. Children under the age of 7 travel free.
Shuttle Service
Domodedovo Airport - metro station Domodedovskaya

Journey time: about 25-30 minutes
Fare: 80 rubles (Tickets are available on the shuttle bus from the driver.)
Taxi
It is strongly recommended to hire only licensed taxis at official taxi stands. The fare is open to negotiation and shall be fixed before the journey. Some drivers accept only US dollars.

Airport transfers:
- Domodedovo – Vnukovo: about 2100 rubles (journey time about 1 hour 30 minutes)
